Milwaukee is where I live, and it's a great, growing city and a perfect venue for The Sketchnote Workshop. The city is vibrant with new restaurants, businesses and young people staying to create the place where they want to live.
Situated on the shore of Lake Michigan, Milwaukee has a great lakefront with miles of walking/biking paths and lakefront parks, a city-wide network of public parks, an award-winning art museum and a summer full of ethnic and music festivals.
Food & Drink
Food is another important aspect of Milwaukee culture, featuring a wide variety of restaurants across the city. Within walking distance of our venue, there is BBQ, Belgian, Seafood, Sushi, Mexican, Middle-Eastern, Italian and more.
Of course, you can't talk about Milwaukee without thinking of beer — the city has a superb collection of craft breweries to offer. And there's coffee, with Stone Creek, Colectivo and other local roasters supplying great coffee to the city.
The workshop will include delicious, fresh local foods, with an opportunity to have dinner at a local eatery afterward with our team and other students.
Stone Creek Factory
We've chosen Stone Creek Coffee's Factory location, and the private Tasting Room, for the event because it's a great old Milwaukee cream brick building with natural light and a space that offers coffee and baked goods.
We'll have Stone Creek's Factory just downstairs for some hands-on sketchnoting opportunities — and they will provide both fresh coffee and baked goods for the event.
You'll have a great time discovering Milwaukee. I love my city and enjoy opportunities to show it off to others.
